The Fit and Funny Program and Austin Davis was featured on The Learning Channel (TLC) show "Big Medicine". In "Big Medicine", Austin works with Allen Mata, a young man who had gastric bypass surgery. Allen lost a lot of weight after the surgery; however he had not achieved the weight loss and other lifestyle goals he had set for himself.

TLC's new series "Big Medicine" follows the journeys of individuals undergoing gastric bypass surgery at the weight loss institute developed and created by Dr. Garth Davis and his father Dr. Robert Davis in Houston, TX. Garth and his father perform gastric bypass surgeries on individuals weighing from 400 to 1,000 pounds. Austin Davis (no relation to the doctors Davis) is a part of the bariatric team that supports many of the patients as they learn to make exercise an integral part of their "total package" of recovery from the disease of obesity.
